"The police and judiciary should follow up the dormitories' incident," Rahbar said. A violent attack on Tehran University's student dormitories by men without uniforms on June 14, two days after the disputed election, resulted in serious injuries to many students and destruction of their - and university's - properties, according to Rahbar. He also denied a comment by a Principlist parliamentarian that he had issued a permit for the police to enter the dormitories. Rahbar "strongly" rejected the remarks by the Majlis Presiding Board member, saying, "I had made no request for the entrance of the police personnel into the Tehran University dormitory." Rahbar noted that "less than five students are in hospital" due to the attacks. |
