...In Persia first arises that light which shines itself and illuminates what is around... The principle of development begins with the history of Persia; this constitutes therefore the begining of history.

Israel’s ‘Crime Against Humanity’ Print E-mail
Monday, 15 December 2008
The use of terror and hunger to break a hostile population is one of the oldest forms of warfare. I watched the Bosnian Serbs employ the same tactic in Sarajevo. Those who orchestrate such sieges do not grasp the terrible rage born of long humiliation, indiscriminate violence and abuse. A father or a mother whose child dies because of a lack of vaccines or proper medical care does not forget. A boy whose ill grandmother dies while detained at an Israel checkpoint does not forget. All who endure humiliation, abuse and the murder of family members do not forget.

Quantum Change or Shortchanged Print E-mail
Saturday, 13 December 2008
“In 2008, as in previous election years, serious candidates for the highest office in the land will go to considerable lengths to express their deep personal commitment to one foreign country -- Israel -- as well as their determination to maintain unyielding U.S. support for the (Israel),” conjectured John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen M. Walt of Harvard in 2007.

Inspectors of IAEA can determine – after years of intrusive inspections – there is no indication that Iran has ever diverted any of those materials, required by the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons to be subject to a comprehensive "Safeguards" Agreement, to a military purpose.

Power at the U.N. Print E-mail
Friday, 12 December 2008
The United States influence on the U.N. has been far too negative -- A unilateral war against a sovereign nation while the public was sold on the false notion of a ‘coalition of the willing’ The environment has taken a beating.  The NPT has been violated.  The Agency for human settlement seems to be interested in the Gaza Camp and the wars the United States has engaged in have left millions of refugees yet the Unites States has taken in only a handful of ‘refugees’.

Interview with Prof. James Russell Print E-mail
Friday, 12 December 2008
How does one preserve a culture seven thousand years old? Well, by living it and cherishing it, by teaching it to one's children, and also by supporting museums, archaeologists, libraries. By welcoming visitors and showing the cultural treasures to them. How about summer programs in Persian language & travel for high school kids from all countries and I mean all. It also means talking about cultural values, through new literary, musical, and artistic forms, through open and free debate about the relationship between tradition and innovation.

Dear Iran Print E-mail
Friday, 12 December 2008
Politic is not a funny matter but the past and present actions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have shown that you need a great sense of humor to be able to stand the look of these sanctimonious humbugs. Five years of relentless inspections, probes and agreements had got us into this perverse situation where the US demand the complete rollback of our nuclear technology and our 'confession' in trying to make nuclear weapons. Mr. El Baradei acting as US chief interlocutor translates their demands into political case. Seemingly IAEA does not have a shopping list for information and is fishing for anything it can lay its hands on.

The Search for a US Envoy for Iran Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 December 2008
In light of president-elect Barack Obama's desire to engage Tehran without preconditions, the need for a special United States envoy on Iran is all the more pressing. This could coincide with the revival of the "freeze-for-freeze" plan under which Iran would temporarily suspend its uranium-enrichment program in exchange for the US's suspension of any more sanctions. Both initiatives require a considerable change in attitudes.
