Washington's Obstinacy on Tehran's Nuclear Program

Monday, December 10, 2007

The Chairman of Iran's Assembly of Experts says Washington's obstinacy on Tehran's nuclear program reflects its belligerent policies.

"The US has exaggerated the intensity of Iran's nuclear program to such an extent that even Washington's allies in the region have expressed their opposition to the issue," said Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani.

The Iranian cleric underlined Washington's failure in the region, saying it is rooted in the Bush administration's illogical policies.

Rafsanjani praised Iraqi President Jalal Talabani for revealing that Iran is not meddling in Iraq's internal affairs.
