Visit to Iran Changes Tourists' Idea

An opinion poll surveying foreign tourists visiting Iran shows that 90 percent of them have a positive view of Iran at their departure.

The Isfahan department of the the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) announced that while 80 percent of the foreign visitors to Iran reported a negative take on the country at the time of their arrival, 90 percent leave Iran with a positive attitude.

The poll shows a complete reversal of the initial view by the overwhelmin majority of tourists visiting Iran.

According to the survey, most tourists choose Iran as a travel destination based on the accounts and comments provided by their friends who had traveled to Iran before.

ICHTO is trying to boost the country's tourism industry by holding various conferences to study the state of the world's third industry.
