Unfair Sanctions against Iran Ineffective

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has dismissed the sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic as ineffective in hampering the progress of the Iranian nation.
Unfair sanctions imposed by hegemonic powers against the Islamic Republic of Iran have had no impact on the Iranian nation and will never do, said the president.
Referring to the US-sponsored allegations against Iran's nuclear program, Ahmadinejad said, “Iran's nuclear program has turned into a totally political issue.”
“It is clear to everyone that the US and its allies seek to find a pretext to halt the progress of the Iranian nation, because they intend to seize absolute control over the Middle East and stabilize the Zionist regime (Israel), and they consider Iran an obstacle in the way of their objectives,” he noted.
The president added that the rhetoric of threats is the continuation of the decades-long hostilities of the US and the hegemonic powers against Iran.
“[If] anyone tries to violate the rights of the Iranian nation through aggression and intimidation, the Iranian nation will defend itself accordingly,” the president said.
