US should apologize great Iranian nation

Saturday, November 17, 2007

Interim Friday prayers Leader of Tehran Ayatollah Sayed Ahmad Khatami called for return of the Islamic Republic of Iran's nuclear case to the IAEA.

"Now that you yourself explicitly acknowledge (to realities regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program), undoubtedly, the case should be returned to the IAEA from the UN Security Council," said Ayatollah Khatami.

Ayatollah Khatami also called on America and its allies to apologize the great Iranian nation for all the lies they told the world public opinion about IRI.

He also said in an address to the IAEA officials, "Now that you have come to this point and acknowledge that we have had cooperation, it is expected that the IAEA too should act on its duties.

He criticized America's double-standards on nuclear issue and said, "America is not the least sensitive towards Israel which has banned nuclear bombs and has not signed the NPT. It however makes so much mischief towards Iran's peaceful nuclear activities."

Calling ElBaradei's Iran report "a political victory in the scene of diplomacy," Ayatollah Khatami said the report showed that despite all the arrogant media's ballyhoos, which portray IRI as an ambitious and tough state, the country is logical, wise and an advocate of peace and tranquility worldwide.

He underlined that IRI will not give up its nuclear rights even an iota and would bravely and strongly stand on the scene.

He said IRI is open to fair and logical dialogue on the nuclear issue.
