The Resolution of the Palestine Problem

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

Iran's Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel says the Palestine dispute won't be remedied unless the Palestinian nation grants consent.

Haddad-Adel said, "The key to the resolution of the Palestine problem is not in the pockets of Arab leaders or other Annapolis participants, but in the hands of those people whose lands have been usurped."

The parliament speaker stated that the Annapolis conference wouldn't be any better than the Madrid, Oslo or Camp David summits which ignored the principle of justice.

He added that the United States supposes that the consensus of some Arab leaders over the Palestine issue would defuse the situation, while this crisis cannot be resolved without the consent of the Palestinian people.

The Annapolis conference is aimed at justifying Arab leaders' reconciliation with Israel under the pretext of recognition of the Zionist regime, but this occupying regime has usurped Palestinian people's lands, the speaker pointed out.

Haddad-Adel continued, "Some Arab and non- Arab leaders have been invited to the summit in order to enhance the external appearance of the event."
