Strategic Steps in Nuclear Issue

Former Supreme National Security Council secretary Ali Larijani stated that Iran has taken very logical and strategic steps regarding the nuclear issue. Iran’s nuclear issue is not very complicated and “we have fulfilled our duties,” Larijani said.

A country that seeks “adventure” should not be allowed to make the issue “more complicated” because the region is prone to various crises, the former security chief said in an indirect reference to the United States.

He added most of the countries which benefit from stability should become more active and follow the issue more logically.

He said the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, and the International Atomic Energy Agency should fulfill their duties because it is through cooperation that “we can reach a common paradigm for resolving the problems.”
