Resuming Negotiations with IAEA

Monday, November 5, 2007

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says political dispute aimed at hampering Tehran's peaceful nuclear program is 'literally' over.

President Ahmadinejad said the West's allegations of 'unpeaceful' nuclear activities by Iran are baseless. He said Tehran has resumed negotiations with the legal authorities, the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"Everyone has now realized the truths about Iran's atomic program," he added.

Washington and its allies have questioned the Islamic republic's nuclear intentions, claiming Iran is secretly pursuing nuclear weapons.

However, Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog have repeatedly rejected such accusations as 'baseless.'
