Rejection of US Claims on Iran

Wednesday, December 5, 2007

An Iranian MP says the recent report by US intelligence agencies has proved that Tehran's nuclear program is aimed at peaceful purposes.

Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that the US administration should consider the report in its official stance.

He added the report, which confirmed that there is no deviation from peaceful purposes in Iran's nuclear activities, also dismissed the US allegations against Iran.

The MP said that the attempts by US officials against Iran's peaceful nuclear program are aimed at preventing the international community from taking measures against the Zionist regime, which poses a threat to the region's security through its nuclear arsenals.
