Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reaffirmed the peaceful nature of the country's nuclear activities, which are 'within the NPT'.
"Iran's nuclear activities are in the framework of the NPT and under the supervision of the IAEA, besides we are enriching uranium to a level of 5 percent and no more which could only be used as fuel for power plants," he said .
"The IAEA has reiterated that there is no evidence to prove Iran's deviation from peaceful purposes. "

Iran's President said that the country's nuclear case is political rather than legal, since the IAEA confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program but "a few powers which are seeking to monopolize technologies, expect Iran to beg for nuclear fuel."

"How could a producer of atomic bombs accuse us? We are fundamentally against such weaponry," he concluded.
