Peaceful Nature of Tehran's Nuclear Program

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the latest IAEA report has acknowledged the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program.

The US and some European countries are not happy with the favorable IAEA report… they tried to exert pressure on Iran to the very end, in hopes of possibly winning a small concession from the Iranian nation,” he said.

The president urged the US and its allies to change their policies adding that even though they have become isolated due to their wrongful approaches, they still have not learned their lesson and are talking about more sanctions.

“Now that you know your past resolutions against Iran were based on inaccurate information, you must be courageous enough to admit your mistakes,” he continued.

“We do not expect an apology from the US however, Washington must change its policies,” Ahmadinejad added.

The president described the report by the IAEA Chief Mohammad ElBaradei as 'close to the truth' and 'almost free from the pressure of world powers'.
