No deal with US on diplomats release

Iran has made no deal with US over release of its diplomats abducted from the Iraqi city of Erbil, Foreign Ministry spokesman has said.

Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said  " The release of Iranian diplomats has nothing to do with the upcoming talks between Tehran and Washington over the ongoing situation in Iraq. "

He noted that talks between Iran and the US would be held at the ambassadorial level and stated, "Any changes concerning the level of talks will be announced."

The spokesman stressed that Iran-US negotiations would only focus on Iraq's developments and security and said, "We will not link other issues with these talks. We will pursue other cases through different channels."
