Negotiations: Solution to Nuclear Stand-off

Sunday, November 11, 2007

The Iranian Foreign Minister rejects the idea that the standoff over Iran's nuclear program can not be resolved through negotiation.

"I am a career diplomat and as per the principle I say we are not on the verge of a war," Manouchehr Mottaki said.

“Logic can solve the crisis but Americans have become increasingly more illogical,” he added.

"They (the Bush administration) do not intend to launch a war which has a front line from China to Israel. Bush has no power to impose more ordeals on Americans," Mottaki said.

“There are many politicians in the Bush administration who like Dick Cheney engage with arms manufacturer and pocket billions of dollars by creating crises in the region,” he concluded.
