Muslims Celebrate Prophet Mohammed's Birthday across World

Muslims around the world are celebrating one of the most important events on the Islamic calendar – Prophet Mohammed’s birthday today.

Characteristics of a Faithful from Viewpoint of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

- His thinking is evolving and dynamic

- Always thinks about and remembers God

- Is very knowledgeable

- Is very tolerant

- Is good-tempered in conflicts

- Is generous when forgiving others

- Is more open to criticism than others

- Is the most humble of all

- When laughing, he only smiles

- Their gatherings are aimed at teaching and learning

- Reminds careless people [of their responsibilities]

- [His behavior] gives lessons to the ignorant

- Never harasses those who harass him

- He never gets involved in whatever is not to his benefit and never chides anybody for a mishap

- Never gossips about anybody

- Hates whatever has been forbidden [by religious edicts]

- Avoids of suspicious deeds

- Is open-handed when giving something out

- He seldom harasses others

- Helps both the friends and strangers

- Is like a father for the orphans

- Shows his joy in his face

- Hides his sorrow in his heart

- Suffices to his need to God

- Is sweeter than honey and harder than a rock

- Never discloses people’s secrets

- Never maligns other people

- His movement are graceful

- Is pleasant to meet

- Worships God a  lot

- His grace is becoming

- Is soft on people

- His silence is long

- If he is treated roughly out of ignorance, he will react with generosity and tolerance

- He is never harsh on those who wrong him

- Respects seniors and has mercy on juniors

- Can be trusted with everything and is never treacherous

- His close friend is piety and his ally is modesty

- His abstinence is remarkable and his mistakes are few

- His moves are polite

- His words amaze other people

- Easily forgives other people’s errors

- Never tries to find fault with others

- He is usually solemn, patient, content, satisfied and grateful

- Is taciturn, honest, doing good, immune [to mistakes], and protected

- Is tolerant, friendly and amicable, and virtuous

- Is honorable and never hexes people or tells lies

- Never backbites other people

- Never swears at others and is neither jealous, nor stingy

- Is always good-tempered and happy

- Is neither too sensitive, nor curious or prying

- When doing something, goes for the best result

- And seeks the most prominent of ethical values

- God always protects him

- He is helped by the Providence

- While being soft on others, he is also strong

- His decisions are based on certainty

- Never wrongs his enemies

- Never commits a sin to help friends

- Is very patient in hardships

- Neither wrongs other people, nor lets be wronged

- And never does whatever he wishes

- His outer clothing is patience and resistance

- His expenses and troubles are a minimum

- He helps others a lot

- He fasts most of the days

- His worship on foot is long

- His sleep is short

- His heart is pious while his knowledge is pure

- He is merciful when in power

- Fulfils a promise once he makes it

- And says his prayers with the fear of God in his heart

- His deeds are so good that as if he sees the God

- His eyes are closed to whatever is improper

- His hands are open with generosity

- Never turns down somebody who asks a favor

- He never covets what others have

- His relation with his [religious] brethren is unbreakable

- Never ceases doing good to others

- His words are balanced and his talk is short

- Is never indulges in anger and animosity

- Never lets friendship to lead to his doom

- Never accepts what is wrong and never overlooks the right when countering his enemy

- He never learns knowledge unless to understand it, and never tries to understand unless to use that knowledge in practice

- His grudge is short

- He thanks [God] a lot

- In daytime, he seeks a livelihood and at night, cries on his sins and mistakes

- When accompanying people with worldly concerns, he is the most cunning of them; and when accompanying people who care about the Afterlife, he is the most pious of them

- He never cheats in his business

- Looks for no excuse when performing his religious duties

- Is lenient on the mistakes and errors of his brethren in faith

- Always respects the value of old friendship
