As Simple as That by Iranian filmmaker Reza Mir-Karimi grabs the Golden George Award at the 30th Moscow International Film Festival.

The festival's international jury awarded the film the festival's top prize as well as the Russian Film Critics' Award for Best Film in the main competition.

“In this movie I meant to show the life of a loving wife and mother, a good housewife and an ideal neighbor,” said filmmaker Mir-Karimi.

As Simple as That is a nuanced portrait of an Iranian housewife who suffers from the stressful routine of her life and eventually falls into depression.

The Moscow International Film Festival, which ran from June 19 to 28, is the second oldest film festival in the world after Venice.
