Iranians negotiate under fair conditions

Thursday, November 1, 2007

President Ahmadinejad has said the Iranian nation is prepared to hold negotiations on an equal footing and under fair conditions.

"Bullying powers, which are against the independence of Iranians, cause obstacles in the way of the achievements of the nation. They spread lies, wage psychological warfare and impose pressure to deprive the Iranian people of their right to peaceful nuclear technology," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

"We have told the International Atomic Energy Agency that we will not succumb to threats and will carry out our legal activities. With the grace of God, the Iranian nation moves towards peaks of honor," he added.

The President stated that Iran's nuclear case has been closed at the UN Security Council and is running its course at the IAEA, adding that unilateral US threats against Tehran are 'baseless'.

He stressed that political plots and propaganda against the Iranian nation have failed, saying, "The rights of the Iranian nation have been stabilized; and the enemies have come to the realization that they cannot prevent the country's progress."
