Iranian Sculptor Wins IOC Diploma

The young Iranian sculptor Mohammad Reza Yazdi has received the Highly Recommended diploma of the 2008 Olympic Sport and Art Contest.

Yazdi, who had competed in the event's Sculpture category, received the diploma for his work called Gymnast.

The work will be displayed along with other selected works in the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and the Olympic Expo in Beijing.

Over 60 works from 36 countries competed in the third Olympic Sport and Art Contest, held in the two categories of sculptures and graphic works.
