Iranian Ophthalmologist Received Academic Award in US

Iranian ophthalmologist Mohsen Azarmina received the prestigious academic award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

The ophthalmologist, who is also a faculty member of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has conducted research on retinal angiomatosis and on treatment of blindness due to ethyl alcohol intoxication. His research has yielded promising results.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is one of the world's largest association of eye physicians and surgeons with more than 27,000 members worldwide.

Each year, the academy nominates about 30 ophthalmologists based on their scientific research, the quality and quantity of their published material in respect to their participation in the academy's research projects and courses.
