Iran's Rising Strategic Power

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

The Leader's representative to the Supreme National Security Council has assessed the equation arising from US threats as being in Iran's favor.

"The insistence of the American administration on unilateralism and the universal reaction taking shape against US arrogance have created a political atmosphere that favors Iran's rising strategic power," Ali Larijani analyzed.

Threats being posed against Iran could not lead to any attrition in Iran's strategic status, he noted, adding that the current strategies should be applied in a wise and appropriate manner.

The member of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) stated that the theory of US unilateralism as the dominant paradigm in its interactions with the international community is increasingly falling into disrepute throughout the world.
