Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini has said that the country's nuclear policies and strategies are unchangeable.

"No change will be made in Iran's nuclear policies following the resignation of the former secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani," he said.

"Iranian officials will solidly move down the same path," he added.

The spokesman stated that the resignation of Larijani was accepted and approved by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, adding that the appointment of the Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs, Saeed Jalili as the new SNSC Secretary had been completed.

Hosseini said, "Jalili will attend the talks with Solana while Larijani will also be there as the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, as highlighted by both the Iranian Leader and President."
