Iran's Inalienable Right to Nuclear Energy
Monday, December 10, 2007
Iran's foreign minister says Iran is open to any proposal which recognizes its inalienable right to pursue peaceful nuclear energy.
"Any offer to peacefully settle Iran's nuclear case should include two points: it should officially recognize Iran's right to nuclear energy under the NPT and ensure enforcement of this right, " Manouchehr Mottaki said.
Mottaki maintained that the European side should comply with its obligations and said, "We believe confidence-building is a two-way street. Unfortunately in our discussions with the Europeans we walk this road alone"
