Iran: Prospect of N-talks positive

Saturday, October 20, 2007

Deputy Foreign Minister, Mehdi Mostafavi, has described the third round of talks on Iran's peaceful nuclear program to be positive.

Noting Iran's approach in achieving peaceful nuclear energy within the IAEA and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) frameworks, Mehdi Mostafavi said the prospect of Iran's nuclear program is clear and positive.

Mostafavi advocate that the country's logical and legitimate relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would lead to appropriate solutions in resolving the current ambiguities in Iran's nuclear enrichment program.

"Iran has expressed its willingness to cooperate with IAEA representatives, to inspect the process of nuclear enrichment activities in the country," said Mehdi Mostafavi.

He went on to add that Tehran is eager to maintain ties with the IAEA, since it regards the agency as the only official and legitimate channel for the realization of its peaceful nuclear energy programs.
