Iran-IAEA negotiations constructive

Monday, November 5, 2007

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council undersecretary for International Affairs, Javad Vaeedi, said that negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency were “satisfactory.”

The talks were “good and constructive”, and “Both sides were satisfied with the process of the talks,” Vaeedi said. The IAEA delegation raised the last questions on the remaining ambiguities about P-1 and P-2 centrifuges, and received Iran’s answers, he added.

“We tried our utmost to facilitate the IAEA’s access to the information it needed” to clarify the issue, and “we seriously provided them with what we believed was necessary for resolving the case,” he explained.

There will be no more discussions concerning the centrifuges before the IAEA meeting, he stated.
