Iran’s Diamond Eye, Effective Treatment for Eye Disorders

Sunday, August 3, 2008

Iran says its 'Diamond Eye' will treat various eye-related disorders using electromagnetic radiation for the first time in the world.

'Diamond eye' radiates electromagnetic waves to the organ, leading to the effective treatment of hypermetropia (farsightedness), myopia (nearsightedness), strabismus (cross-eyed), Amblyopia (lazy eye), nyctalopia (night blindness) and cataract without any operation.

The device designed by Majid Dashti has been tested on 25 patients in Shiraz Eye Center and shown an 80-100% success rate.

Scientists claim the device is an affordable treatment for the abovementioned disorders and does not result in any significant side effects.
