Improving security along the country's borders

Monday, November 5, 2007

Iran's defense minister has said that his ministry is fully prepared to provide the country's border guards with modern equipment.

The Ministry of Defense is ready to produce the necessary equipment for the border guards in an attempt to improve security along the country's borders, said Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar.

He added that the Ministry of Defense and its affiliated organizations have no problem in producing advanced electronic and radar equipment to meet the needs of the guards patrolling Iran's borders.

Najjar noted that the espionage activities of the occupiers of Iraq along the Iranian borders and the death of a number of Iranians in the ongoing conflict between Turkish troops and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) would be reviewed by the relevant authorities.
