he Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has noted that pressures exerted on the Iranian nation by foreign powers will not be able to weaken the resolve of the nation.
“The Iranian nation is determined to reach its marked point through strong determination and resolve,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that Iran is incessantly progressing and there is no insurmountable obstacle or deadlock on the way of its march ahead.
“The Iranian nation is in the middle of the scene and problems and pressures fall short of influencing decision, resolve and ideals of this nation,” the Leader said.
The Leader noted that taking the economy of resistance seriously is one of the main ways of passing the current fateful juncture.
“The economy of resistance is not a slogan, but a reality which should be realized,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
“One of the best manifestations and most effective components of the economy of resistance is knowledge-based companies which can make the economy of resistance more sustainable,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader added that true economic growth hinges on the generation of wealth through science and knowledge.
“If knowledge-based companies are taken seriously and their qualitative and quantitative growth is supported, the country will achieve true prosperity by generating wealth through promotion of science,” the Leader said.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also said that foreign pressure will not change Iran’s calculations and the West is facing serious crises.
The Leader said that the Iranian nation will not give in to Western pressure and the US-engineered sanctions on Iran will only make Iranian officials more determined to defend the nation's rights.
“They explicitly say that by intensifying the pressure and the sanctions, they are seeking to force Iranian officials to reconsider their calculations. But in reality, we will not rethink our calculations, and we will continue to trod the path of the Iranian nation more resolutely,” the Leader observed, adding that Iran will resist the West’s economic pressure.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said that the United States and its allies are trying to pressure Iran over its nuclear energy program and human rights issues, but their main problem is actually with the Islamic establishment itself.
“The enmity of these arrogant governments toward the Islamic Republic arises from their hostility toward the foundations of the Islamic establishment, but they are trying to justify their hostility toward the Iranian nation on the pretexts of the nuclear energy program and defending human rights,” the Leader noted.
He also referred to the US failures in its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the financial crises the West is facing.
“The fate of the US in Iraq, the increasing and endless problems of the US in Afghanistan, and the failure of US policies in the Middle East are typical examples of the growing weakness in the front of our enemies,” he added.
“The serious economic crisis in Europe and the eurozone, instability in several European countries, and the collapse of some European governments, as well as the high budget deficit and the 99 percent (Occupy) movement in the US, are important events that should not be ignored,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
