President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said Iran is looking for the establishment of peace, friendship and sustainable equality in region.
Ahmadinejad pointed out that Iran has very good, deep-rooted relations with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries, adding no obstacle prevents the expansion of ties between Tehran and regional states.
He stated that certain bullying powers oppose Iran's access to peaceful nuclear energy and think they can obtain concessions from Iran via threats and pressure. "Such powers should understand that they will never achieve their goals."
Ahmadinejad reiterated Iran's support for the independence and territorial integrity of all regional countries, particularly Iraq.
The president added that Iran defends Lebanon's territorial integrity, unity, independence and power and believes that the Zionist regime should leave the region.
