Change of atmosphere at 5+1 Group talks

Monday, November 5, 2007

A Majlis deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has said that an appropriate atmosphere currently prevails in sessions of the 5+1 Group.

Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that this atmosphere has been created thanks to a high level of cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency in the past and at the present.

"Iran's nuclear negotiating team has done its utmost to reach a positive summing-up with the IAEA," Boroujerdi said.

The MP stressed that Iran would continue its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog and give responses to its questions until the parties reach a rational solution to an ongoing standoff over Iran's nuclear case.

He added that the US has used all means at its disposal to wage a psychological war among those concerned with making decisions about Iran's peaceful nuclear case, but to no avail.
