While the US politicians are trying to provoke tensions in Iran, the US public is preparing for Christmas vacation and chooses to go to Iran.

The prestigious American daily, 'The New York Times' has published a comprehensive article dedicated to 53 tourist attractions of the world.

Photos chosen for the article are the first things that catch your eyes. The author has chosen three images for the main page of the article and Iran is the first photo appearing at the top of the page.

The US upscale tour operators are planning some tours to Iran. The trips offer to explore the ancient country's Persian treasures and olive-green desert expanses.

Next spring, the luxury cruise liner, Silversea, will make stops in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas to experience a calm day in the azure water of the Persian Gulf.

The American dream of a visit to Iran has also made a California-based travel organizer to arrange two 18-day trips to Iran. The tours start in Tehran and continue in Shiraz and Isfahan. Prices for such visit start at $5,390 per person.

The author has also provided the readers with another picture from Iran which introduces 'Takht-e Jamshid', the ancient ruins of the Achaemenid era Persepolis.
