The poll conducted by Iran.poll for the "The Center of International and Security Studies" at the University of Maryland shows that General Qassem Soleimani, commander of Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, is the most popular character in the public eyes.

The poll also shows that the General's popularity has increased after the ISIL terrorist attack on the Iranian Parliment.

"The Center for International and Security Studies," explained: "The popularity of Soleimani was already high but it has improved significantly after the terrorist attacks in Iran."

The survey shows that 61 percent of Iranians describe their view of Soleimani as "highly desirable". This figure shows a six percent increase compared to the previous poll of May 7, 2017. Another 17 percent said their opinion was "somewhat desirable" to him.

The General also enjoys the least number of negative attitudes among all the individuals surveyed in the poll. Only 11% of their comments on Qassem Soleimani have been "undesirable".

Following the commander of the Qods Force, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, with a 43% "favorable" view and 33% "somewhat desirable", ranked second in the poll. 19% of respondents felt "unfavorable" about Zarif.
