Active ImageAward-winning Iranian filmmaker Bahman Farmanara will be a head juror in the 2009 Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), a leading movie event in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Iran's About Elly along with 68 other films have been selected as nominees for the best foreign language film at this year's 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The 2009 International Film Festival Bratislava has awarded Iranian filmmaker Shahram Alidi's debut film in the Czech Republic. Iranian film “No One Knows about Persian Cats” won three awards at the 13th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, which was held in Estonia from November 27 to December 6.

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) selected Dr. Vadiee from a group of more than 300 candidates.
