Active ImageIranian filmmaker Peyman Haqani's Man Who Ate His Cherries has been awarded at the 4th edition of Russia's Zerkalo International Film Festival. “Macondo”, an Iranian play directed by Azadeh Ansari received the Imatra Award in the Puppet Section at the 7th International Black and White Theatre Festival. Two Iranian caricaturists have claimed the second and the third place at the sixth international cartoon competition held in the Syrian capital of Damascus. Dr. Negar Farakish received the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE) Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation Award.

Iranian Artists Win Awards in Turkey and China

Iranian artist Masoud Shojaei-Tabatabaei has been selected to serve on the jury of Turkey's 5th edition of Don Quixote Cartoon Contest. The Iranian film “The Hunter” wins the top award at the 16th International Environmental Film Festival Envirofilm 2010 running from May 10 to 15 in several cities of Slovakia.
